LESD65 District Superintendent Hired
The Littleton Elementary School District conducted an extensive superintendent search to find a leader who exemplifies learning, caring, and growing. The search process included community input and forums, surveys, and interviews with top candidates. We are grateful for the participation of our staff, students, families, and community members in this important process. We also appreciate the expertise and guidance provided by Ray and Associates, who served as consultant to the governing board throughout the search.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Louis Laffitte has been selected as the new Superintendent of the Littleton Elementary School District from a group of highly respected and qualified finalists. Governing Board President, Mrs. Amy Soucinek, expressed excitement with the final selection by sharing, “We were fortunate to have four outstanding finalists, each capable of leading Littleton Elementary District in our mission to be leaders in learning, caring, and growing. Dr. Laffitte stood out not only for his nearly 30 years of experience and proven leadership at every level of education, but also for the support he received from our community, staff, and parents. Throughout his career, he has championed innovative solutions that enhance student success and strengthen school culture. His leadership will help us build on our strengths and find new ways to support our educators, students, and families.”
As he is being welcomed into Littleton ESD as the next superintendent, Dr. Laffitte has expressed appreciation and excitement toward the staff and community by sharing, “As we begin our journey together, I look forward to listening, learning, and working alongside our students, educators, families, and community partners to build on the district’s strengths and create even greater opportunities for our children.” Dr. Laffitte will officially begin his journey with the Littleton Elementary School District as the next superintendent on July 1, 2025. This coincides with the start of the 2025–26 academic calendar for the district.
